How to Join a Live Class?

1. Open your coursesite (http://lms.iquim.org) and log in with your Username and Password. Open the course for the live class. Look for “CLICK HERE TO JOIN LIVE CLASS”. Click on this link.

 

2. Wait for the Session to Start as indicated by the countdown timer on top of the page. You can also join chat room by scrolling to the middle of the page.

Live Class Frequently Asked Questions
How to Play Video?
As soon as you open this page, the live video streaming will initiate connection, buffer and play automatically. Please be patient it might take a few seconds to start playing. If you are having problems with constant skipping or buffering, please click the bitrate button bitrate and select the lower resolution video stream option.
How to Enter Chat Room?
Scroll to the middle of the page and look for the text box that asks you to “Please Enter Your Full Name”. Once you do so, click on "Click Here to Enter Video Chat Room".
How to Send Message?
Once inside the chat room, you can send messages by typing on the text box found at the bottom of the chat window. Press enter or click “Send” to submit text.
How to Send Private Message?
You can also send private messages by clicking on a name from the participant's list and click "Send Private Message".
How to Share my Webcam?
Once inside the chat room, click on "Start My Webcam" button right on top of the participants list. Then click on "Allow". If no webcam is installed on your computer it will display "No Cam Detected", and you will not be able to share you webcam. Only 20 participants will be able to share their webcam with others.
How to Exit Chat Room?
Click on the disconnect button right beside your name under the video panel and above the chat window. You can also just close the browser window or tab.
How to Full Screen?
To set the video panel to full screen, click on the toggle full screen button. fullscreen
How to increase or Decrease Volume?
To adjust audio click on the speaker button volume and move the volume slider bar up or down.
How to Mute?
To mute, click on the speaker button volume then click on the x icon right below the volume slider bar. To un-mute simply readjust volume using the volume slider bar.
How to Pause?
To pause video streaming click on the pause toggle button pause. Click the same button to resume playing the video.
Buffering Problems?
If you are having problems with constant skipping or buffering, please click on the bitrate button bitrate and select lower resolution video stream option.

How to Register for a Class?

tep 1: From the Homepage (http://iquim.org/), look for the Main Menu bar on the very top of the page and Products > Education Store

Step 2: Find the Course you would like to enroll to.

2.a You can browse through the list of courses that are categorized according to topics.

2.b You can use the search bar on the right column. You can enter either a keyword from the title or the course code (eg. IQ-101). You can also use the Advanced Search option to limit search results.

2.c You can also search according to the instructor of the course. Select the name of the instructor from the Faculty section (bottom of the left column) and it will list the courses that the instructor has taught.

Step 3: Once found, click on the course link to open the description page of the course. Click on the Register Button to add the course to your shopping cart.

Step 4:  Review the contents of your Shopping Cart.  If you want to add more classes, repeat Step 2.  If you want to remove items from your shopping cart, click on the trash icon beside the corresponding course. To continue with purchase, click on go to checkout.

 

Step 6a (for returning students):  Enter your Username/Email Address and password and click Login.

Step 6b (for New Students):  Enter your information in the form provided for new students and click on submit.

Step 7: Confirm your Billing Address. Select a Payment Method, enter your Payment Information, and click Continue Checkout.

Step 8: Review the billing information and click on confirm the order to process payment.

Step 9: You will receive an order confirmation email. You will also receive a Welcome email with your username and password and a link to automatically forward you to your course site.

How to Login to Course Site?

Step 1: From your browser type http://iquim.org on the Address Bar
Step 2: Click on the Student Login Link
Step 2: Enter your Username:
Step 3: Enter your Password:
Step 4: Click on the 'Login' button.

How to Clear your Browser's Cache?

Internet Explorer 8

1. Once your browser is open, click the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
2. Be sure the General tab is selected.
3. Under "Browsing history", click "Delete..."
4. In the new window, be sure the Temporary Internet Files box is checked. You can uncheck everything else you don't want to delete.
5. Click Delete.

Internet Explorer 7

1. Once your browser is open, click the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
2. Make sure the General tab is selected.
3. Under "Browsing History" click "Delete"
4. In the new window, click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet Files section. If you want, you can also opt to delete cookies and browsing history.
5. Alternatively, clear your cache for just the current page you're visiting. Press and hold [Ctrl] on your keyboard, then Press [F5] or click on the Refresh button (square button on the toolbar with opposite-facing arrows).

Internet Explorer 6

1. Once your browser is open, click the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
2. Make sure the General tab is selected.
3. Click Delete Files in the Temporary Internet Files section and click OK.
4. If you want the browser to automatically clear the cache whenever you close it, click the Advanced tab. Click to check the box next to the "Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed" option (in the section labeled "Security"). Click OK. This will delete everything except cookies.

Firefox 1.5 / 2.0 / 3.0

1. Below is the full method, although it is possible to simply go to Tools, and select Clear Private Data, or to just press Ctrl+Shift+Delete. Please note that these options clear what you have set the browser to clear in Tools > Options... > Privacy, which can mean the cache, although it may also include passwords, and search and browsing history, so be careful.
2. Go to Tools and select Options....
3. Go to the Privacy tab, and click Settings... (in the blue box in the image).
4. Select what you would like to have cleared.
5. Return to the Options menu. If you want your cache cleared automatically, every time you close the browser, click the appropriate checkbox (shown in red in an earlier image).
6. Press "Clear Now" under the Settings button.

Firefox 1.0

1. Once your browser is open:
2. Click the Tools menu and select Options....
3. Click the Privacy button and select the Cache tab.
4. Click the Clear Cache Now button.

Safari

1. Once your browser is open, click the Safari menu and select Empty Cache
2. Confirm the action by clicking Empty in the pop-up window

 

How to Play a Recorded Webinar?

After a live class session, a recording of the class will be made available for you to access at any time.

Follow these steps to access the recordings:

* Most of the video recordings take about an hour or two of temporary files saved on your computer. It is recommended but not necessary to clear your browser cache before starting every video recording to free up some of your computer resources.

2. From the list of courses on your home page, select the class that the document is associated with by clicking on the course title.

3. All of the recordings for the selected class can be found under the section "Watch the Course Videos." Click on the Video title that you want to play.

4. A registration page will appear. Log in to access the selected file by entering your "First name," “Last name” and "Email address." Then Click "Register." Untitled-4.jpg

5. For first time users using Internet Explorer, a warning will appear asking you to install Active-X control. Follow the instructions on the screen to install Webex Active-X. A “Playback in progress” window will appear.

6. The “Network Recording Player” window will then appear, showing a status of either Connecting or Buffering. Buffering the video might take longer, depending upon your connection speed and the size of the video being streamed. Please be patient and wait for the video to start. If the status still says Buffering for more than 10 minutes, close the “Network Recording Player” window, clear your browser cache, and repeat Step 3.

7. The video is streamed using progressive download. You may pause the video playback and allow the video to download completely (allowing the blue bar to reach the end) to avoid pauses while playing the video. Enjoy and learn.

Are Live Classes Recorded?

Yes. All classes are recorded. When you register to a class we automatically email you access to your coursesite with a username and password. When we record the class we post all the links on your coursesite. You will have access to all the course documents and the replay of the class. If the class is already recorded you get everything immediately. You will also receive a certificate of completion. So, even if you cannot attend this class live, you can still experience our education at any time, any place, any pace.

 

How Do I Complete IQ-101?

Step 1: Go to http://lms.iquim.org

How to Print and Read Course Documents?

1. Login into your coursesite (http://lms.iquim.org/)

2. From the list of courses on your home page, select the class that the document is associated with by clicking on the course title.

3. All of the documents for the selected class can be found under the section "Print and Read Course Documents."  Click on the Document title that you want to read.

4. A registration page will appear.  Log in to access the selected file by entering your "First name,"  “Last name” and "Email address."   Then Click "Register."

5. For first time users using Internet Explorer, a warning will appear asking you to install Active-X control.  Follow the instructions on the screen to install Webex Active-X.  An Adobe Acrobat Add-on is also required to display the document on your browser.

6. The document may not appear immediately because it is still downloading. The time required for the download will depend upon the size of the file.  When the download is complete, a new browser window will appear with the selected document. Use the print option from the Adobe Acrobat toolbar to print the document. Enjoy and learn.

How to upload an Assignment file?

1.  Click on the "Upload Assignment" link.


2.  Click on the "Browse" button.


 

 

3.  Find and Select (highlight) the assignment file you wish to upload and Click on “Open.”


4.  Click on "Upload this file."

5.  When the upload is confirmed, the file name will be displayed in the “Submission” window.   (Click on the “X” to delete the file.)

How to Upgrade or Install Internet Explorer 8?

To download and Install Internet Explorer 8, follow the steps listed below:

1. Visit the following Microsoft Web site:

For Windows XP:

How to Upgrade or Install Firefox Browser?

1. Open the Mozilla Firefox download site http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html using your current browser (e.g., Internet Explorer). This page will suggest the latest version of Firefox for download. Click on the Download Now button.

2. A warning pop up will ask you to Run, Save or Cancel installation. Click Run.

3. Wait for download to complete.

4. Click Run.

5. Wait for File to extract, and once the Mozilla Firefox Setup window opens, click Next.


6. Select Standard Installation and click Next.

7. If you prefer a different browser as your default browser, uncheck the checkbox Use Firefox as my default web browser. Click Install.

8. Wait for installation to complete and click Finish on the confirmation page.

9. A Firefox icon will appear on your desktop.

How to Enable Cookies on your Browser

Firefox 2 or 3

  1. Click the Tools menu. (On a Mac, click the Firefox menu.)
  2. Select Options. (On a Mac, select Preferences.)
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Select the 'Accept cookies from sites' checkbox.
  5. Click the OK button.

Internet Explorer 6, 7 or 8

  1. Click the Tools menu.
  2. Select Internet Options.
  3. Click the Privacy tab.
  4. Click the Default button (or manually slide the bar down to 'Medium').
  5. Click the OK button.

Safari 3

  1. Click the Safari menu.
  2. Select Preferences.
  3. Click Security.
  4. In the Accept Cookies section, select Always.

 

How to Enable JavaScript from your Browser

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5/6

In Internet Explorer, click on the Tools menu (step 1) and select Internet Options… (step 2), as shown in the picture below.

 

Click on the Security tab (step 3) and then click on the Custom Level... button (step 4).

 

 

Scroll down until you can see the options shown in the picture below. They are located near the bottom of the list. Set the option Active Scripting to Enable (step 5). Then click on the OK button (step 6).

 

 

Click Yes (step 7).

 

 

Click OK (step 8). This concludes enabling JavaScript for Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or 6.

 

 

If the problematic Web page (which did not work without JavaScript) is still open inside Internet Explorer, simply press the 'F5' key on your keyboard to reload it. Now it should work correctly.

 

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7

In Internet Explorer 7, click on the Tools button (step 1), located in the upper right part of the screen (next to the gear icon), and select Internet Options (step 2), as shown in the picture.

Click on the Security tab (step 3), and then click on the 'Custom Level...' button (step 4).

 

 

Scroll down (step 5) until you can see the options shown in the picture below. They are located near the bottom of the list. Set the option Active Scripting to Enable (step 6). Then click on the OK button (step 7).

 

 

Click Yes (step 8).

 

 

Click OK (step 9). This concludes enabling JavaScript for Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.

Mozilla Firefox 1.5

In Firefox click on the Tools menu (step 1) and select Options (step 2), as shown in the picture.

 

Click on the Content tab (step 3), check the Enable JavaScript checkbox (step 4), and finally click on the OK button (step 5). This concludes enabling JavaScript for Mozilla Firefox 1.5.
