Alternative vs. Contemporary Medicine?

Many of us have gotten sick, gone to the doctor, received the “quick fix,” and then found ourselves sick again soon after. Why is that?

Renowned physicist Dr. Amit Goswami, a professor at Quantum University, explains the current medicinal system:

“We have a very powerful medicinal system, which you call Conventional Medicine or Allopathy, which has the metaphysics that everything is made out of matter, and everything that happens in the world is the result of material interactions. Upward causation.

This is the idea things at the base level consist of elementary particles. Elementary particles make atoms, atoms make molecules, molecules make cells. Some of the cells are neurons, some they make the brain.

And it is the brain that is responsible for consciousness, for all of our subjective experiences, including disease healing. All this subjective experience is connected with our health is here due [to] material manifestations…

But there is also the Alternative [or ‘Complementary’] Medicine model and there are quite a few of them and they have quite a different metaphysics…

They introduce non-material bodies also having a role in the causation of disease and they claim that only when these deeper more subtle causes of the disease are removed only then do we have complete healing.

In other words, in their view the Allopathic doctor cures the symptoms which appear in the physical level. Often times curing the symptom is not synonymous with healing, but only a temporary cure, because the cause of the disease lies in deeper more subtle bodies of the human being.

And unless it is these defects, the subtle defects are which can be done only through methods of Alternative Medicine, the person will not really be healed.

The disease will appear again and healing will call for another treatment temporary cure, if we stick to Allopathic Medicine alone. This is why these medicinal systems are often called complementary. If you have to treat the symptoms with Allopathy maybe, but… if you want healing you must also bring in the Alternative Medicine acting in a complementary way to the Allopathic system.”
